About Subkept

Subkept is a set of free tools for everyday file jobs: getting a photo under 50 KB for a form, making a passport photo at the right size, merging PDFs, or shrinking a video to send it.

Why everything runs in your browser

Most online file tools upload your file to a server, process it there and send it back. That means waiting for uploads and trusting a stranger with your ID photos and documents.

Subkept does the work on your own device instead. Modern browsers can encode images and video, read PDFs and even run small AI models, so there is no need to upload anything. It is faster, it works on slow connections once the page has loaded, and your files stay private.

What we care about

• Speed. Pages load in about a second, and heavy tools only load when you use them.
• Accuracy. Size limits are hit exactly, and photo rules link to the official government pages.
• No clutter. No sign-up, no watermarks, no daily limits.

Subkept’s history

Subkept started as a subscription tracker. In 2026 it became a file tools site. The subscription cost calculator is still here.
